Stunning large antique Taylor Tunnicliffe oil lamp. The main body of the lamp is decorated with an Imari pattern of rust coloured flowers and gold leaves within panels of mint green, and on a navy blue ground. There are gold speckled, rust coloured bands both top and bottom and the whole is mounted upon an Oriental style brass base. The lamp font is of a drop-in type and is fitted with a Hinks Messenger Duplex burner which works well and has a nice long wick still in place.
The lamp is fitted with an unbranded round bulge chimney and very light cognac/peachy glass Victorian honeycomb shade. The font is clearly marked for Taylor Tunnicliffe as per my final picture. There lamp is free from chips, cracks, crazing or restoration and the lampshade has only minor fleabites to the base.
Height overall 68cm (2ft 3inches). Height of base only 40cm (1 ft 3.75 inches). All components will be separately boxed and sent suspended in void fill in a large sturdy box.
