Victorian Silver Plate Column Oil Lamp

Great Christmas feature piece/gift etc. Quality Antique oil Lamp, electrified and in very good order. In the classical form Corinthian columned. Converted to electricity some long time ago, a very small demi-lune aperture/niche has been made on one side/edge of the stepped metal base to allow a minimal size electrical flex to pass through the central column and the cut glass bowl/reservoir.

The silver plate slightly rubbed. However, this does not detract from the overall beauty of the lamp at all, which still looks as though it has an overall silvered appearance when cleaned.

Having a dragooned stepped base, surmounting a plain socle which supports the Corinthian column and acanthus leaf capital. In perfect condition for age, no chips or damage to the glass or column. Column 12.5 inch (315) mm in height and the overall height is 17.5 inch (445mm), the base is approximately 140 mm square. The item will be packed in two/three carton boxes, one carton box inside another for absolutely safe. The lamp bowl securely wrapped.
