Victorian onix oil lamp base

This stunning period Victorian onix oil lamp is fantastic quality and will look great when restored. The gilt Brass / ormolu has crisp and detailed casting. This was converted to electric in the 1960s the top mount has been drilled for the cord but the mounting thread is still good. The onix is structurally good with no cracks etc.

Approx 4.5 kg in weight. There is nicotine on the Brass I gave the onix a wipe with a damp cloth and the nicotine came off leaving no trace.
