Victorian oil lamp
An attractive pink opaline glass duplex oil lamp and etched globe shade. The font of the lamp has an enamelled coloured vine type design with reddish grapes or pomegranate type fruit incorporated in it. The duplex burner has been overhauled and rewicked and works smoothly. The lamp is mounted on a reeded brass column on an ornate base plate and black ironstone ceramic base. The globe shade has a banded foliate design and is vintage. The lamp has been stripped, cleaned and has no chips or flaws, it stands at 27high overall and has a slight lean to it due to the positioning of the undermount screw.
