Victorian Hesperus Triplex Glass Oil Lamp Complete All Original Shade & Chimney

Here I have for your consideration, one exceptionally rare triplex victorian oil lamp in its original form wearing all its original components. I wish I could say its perfect, it's not but it's close. The base has a hairline fracture, shown in photos, not seen once on display. Some of the gilding is rubbed in places. The burner is a Jones & Willis Hesperus Star Dotty Light Triple Lamp burner, has absolute minimal damage, the primary wick winder has a small piece of the porcelain missing and one of the knobs has been soldered on, this is barely noticeable. Cork gasket is intact and complete. Small dent to brass ring the font sits on. The font is perfect on top with one tiny chip to the underside, the chimney is has minor chipping one side to the fitter, the shade is perfect with 1 manufacturing flaw as shown, no chips or cracks only minor grazing & has a beautiful long ring to it when striked. As I say, this lamp is totally original as the day it was made some 140-148 years ago..

So it does show a little wear. As much as I'd like to light this lamp, I'm avoiding it as we all know how rare these chimneys are, and if it were to crack in my possession I'd never forgive myself.
