Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp Chandelier Converted to Electric. The lamp is solid brass and can have cords attached to raise and lower as required. Some light repair has been undertaken to some of the candle holders, otherwise in good condition for its age. Brass oil lamp has been cut and altered to convert the lamp to work on mains electric, with a braided gold cable with plug attached running down from above. The electric lamp can be replaced with an oil lamp to restore to original configuration if desired.
The lamp is screwed together and can be dismantled but due to weight will require collection. Glass dome is in superb condone in eggshell blue. The lamp is believed to have originally hung in the dining room at Carnfield Hall in Derbyshire. The overall height from ceiling fitting to bottom of the lamp is 1500mm, Height of the lamp to top of shade is 700mm, width including candleholders is 700mm and the diameter of the dome is 400mm (all dimensions approximate). The brass is largely in good condition but would benefit from a good clean. Happy to answer any questions.
