Very Large (3 ft tall) Antique Victorian Hinks Oil Lamp

A striking, very large, Hinks oil lamp in excellent condition. The lamp stands just under 3 feet tall including the glass chimney. The brass base and column are very solid and finishes with a simple Doric capitol. The base has a width of 16 cm and stands 46 cm tall.

The large cut glass font has a wonderful design which ties in beautifully with the wheel cut and crystal etched shade. The Hinks No 1 burner is also in excellent condition and works as it should and has had a new wick fitted. The brass collar to the font has been fitted with a new cork gasket, as has the underside of the burner - giving a good, snug, fit of the burner to the font. The shade is in very good condition with only a few small flakes to the 4 inch fitter rim (which can not be seen when placed on the brass gallery). There is also one small stain on the shade which is barely noticeable.
