Superb Victorian Veritas Brass Oil Lamp With Peach Acid Etched Crystal Shade

This is an absolutely superb example of an original Victorian Veritas brass oil lamp. It stands on a black glazed ceramic base and has an organic stylised brass base, with a brass cylindrical column supporting a brass font and mantle. It has a clear glass chimney and the most impressive and exquisite Peach acid etched crystal glass globe shade. Points to mention are that there is a chip to the black ceramic base. This is on the underside, so cannot is not hugely visible from the side.

There are a couple of light dings to the brass base, but minimal and barely visible. The Peach shade has a couple of chips to the bottom edge, although once sat on the mantle support these cannot be seen. There are also a couple of small nibbles to the top edge.

At that said, this is an impressive lamp, and at the top end of its range. The shade itself is highly sought after on its own. It is in full working order and comes with wicks.
