With a base diameter at its widest point of approximately 16.2cm. I believe the whole base is made from cast metal but has been'bronzed' and burnished.
The base is extremely decorative with an Art Nouveau pattern in light relief, this rises up to the circular bowl again with Art Nouveau detail, the top of the bowl lifts off to reveal the font beneath. This in turn supports the bayonet fit brass apperture for the burner. The burner is a matador burner and to the black enamel winder knob it is impressed with Defrie's Brilliant Burner, Made in Berlin.
The gallery supports a satin glass globe with the lower third in clear glass. Condition is good commensurate with age and use, please see condition report for full details.
