The base is by Taylor, Tunnicliffe & Co and is hand painted in a very nice imari pattern. The shade is very impressive, deeply moulded and acid etched with roses. The burner is a Hinks Duplex and there is a glass chimney inside. Measures 14.75 inches/37.5cm tall. All pieces in beautiful condition with no damage, there is a tiny nick to the top of the chimney (not the shade) - the glass shade and base are stunning with no faults.
I haven't touched the Hunks burner but it looks in excellent untouched condition, if you turn the knob only one of the wicks goes up and down which may be how its supposed to be but I don't know. Everything we sell is second hand or pre-owned and/or antique so will have the signs of use, for example - surface dust or dirt, utensil scratches, gilt wear, stilt marks, light natural crazing and firing faults, rubbing to decoration, small scratches and marks to the surface - none of the above is damage but are part of the ageing, use and/or manufacturing process of a pre-owned or antique item!
