OFFERED HERE IS A FABULOUS AND VERY HEAVY BRONZED FINISH CAST METAL OIL LAMP IN THE FORM OF A MOTHER BEAR STEALING A BEE-SKEP WHILE HER CUBS LOOK OUT FROM THE TREE ROOTS. IT IS VERY FINELY MODELLED AND STANDS ON A SLATE BASE WITH A GOOD CUT GLASS FONT AND HINKS BAYONET BURNER. STANDING 22 INCHES TALL I CAN SEE NO DAMAGE ON THIS UNUSUAL PIECE. A VERY RARE & BEAUTIFUL THING IT IS DECORATED WITH VERY DEEP RUBY GLASS BUTTERFLIES THAT ARE CUT BACK TO THE PALE ETCHED GREEN GLASS INNER LAYER. ON TOP OF THIS THE BUTTERFLIES HAVE A RICH GILT DECORATION , VERY DIFFICULT TO GET GOOD IMAGES BUT A STUNNING PIECE IN THE FLESH!!!!!!
