OIL LAMP HAND HELD VICTORIAN ANTIQUE c. 1880 BEVELLED GLASS & BURNER EXC COND. Antique Oil Lamp in Excellent Condition. Sturdy sheet and molded tinplate steel lamp. Authentic antique, gently cleaned and refinished in matt black.

Original font in working order, with original wick. Bevelled edge glass panes in excellent condition, with a couple of surface scratches, no cracks or damage.

Housing in overall excellent condition, structurally sound with minor surface tarnish. Rear door with chain & pin, drop bolt mechanism in perfect working order, with smooth operation. Font with sound repairs to three corner edges and no leaks, tested. Dent to the exterior housing along pane's edge, not affecting integrity; see detail in penultimate photo.

The above quirk adds the intangible value of a lived history. A rare and charming memento from another era! Manufactured over 140 years ago! Suitable as decorative or collector's item.
