STUNNING HUGE VICTORIAN CAST BRASS OIL LAMP BASE This fabulous oil lamp base stands 45.8cm tall with a square base diameter of 16.5cm. In an Arts and Crafts design with simple lines and a Gothic influence to the choice of decoration. The stepped base rises up to the rectangular plinth with canted corners. The decoration to each side being an elongated quatrefoil with planished decoration to the centre.

This in turn supports the the plain column which has a decorative pedestal cup to the base. The plinthed mount at the top of the column supports the screw thread mount which has an internal measurement across the face of the threads of 23mm. This I believe has been one of the best bases we have been lucky enough to acquire and offer for sale. Please look carefully at the photographs to satisfy yourself to condition and style.
