Here is a very handsome and tall Victorian brass fluted Corinthian column oil lamp adapted as an electric lamp. Of fine heavy quality it stands on a broad stepped square base and spool shaped socle and rises to a well designed Corinthian capital.
The very heavy deeply cut crystal Messengers font of outstanding quality, inscribed on the connection collar Messengers Patent. The bayonet duplex burner wick winder knobs are inscribed Improved Duplex on black ceramic discs. The burner altered to take electric light fitment. The brass Corinthian column, the burner and electric fitment all meticulously cleaned, polished and lacquered to require only dusting for years to come. The twisted three-core braided antique gold silk like flex has been carefully chosen to complement the lamp and has been fed within the column emerging unobtrusively from the base.
The conversion is recent and expertly done. It is ready for use and has been PAT tested. We are very happy with the condition and the immaculate conversion work that has been carried out, please.
