English Sterling Silver Oil Lamp with Figural Snake Handle Gold Wash Marked 1902-3. Presented is an elegant English sterling silver gold wash oil lamp with a figural snake handle and a great detailed evegrave decoration around the sides of scrolling leaves and figural winged dragons or snakes.

It is marked for silver made in London England with a makers mark and a date mark for silver made c1902-3. It has only some pin-prick dings with some minor loss of gold wash and some fine scratches from use and care with no monogram. It is and excellent piece for the silver collector from a time of high art in a time of historical attention to the natural world and the beginning of Art Nouveau style. It is a beautiful piece for almost any décor or setting for the collector of silver.
