Embossed Birds & Flowers Pink Cranberry Overlay Kerosene Oil Lamp Font Fount

This listing is for the FOUNT complete with BRASS THREADED COLLAR and UNDERMOUNT. The base and all other ancillaries are not included in the sale as they are for display purposes only. The fount is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or hairlines and no signs of wear. The glaze is clear and glossy.

It does however have the usual tiny air bubbles, inclusions and irregularities associated with glass of this age including a larger unbroken bubble where the overlay/glaze comes over the top edge of the fount (see photos). It is an impressive example of this style of fount.

The embossing is eye catching. The brass fittings are in good condition with no cracks or stress fractures.

The under mount is dint and ding free but does have a couple of scratches. There is also what presents as a seam running from fount to base which appears to be a manufacturers anomoly. This is not open and is not a stress fracture.

I would assume this occurred at the time of manufacturing. The collar which is a replacement is in excellent condition.

H 153mm (6 including the fittings). D 165mm (6 1/2 widest point). Please view the photos carefully as they form a major part of the description.
