Boston & Sandwich Glass Co Free Blown & Pressed Antique Whale Oil Lamp American. Offered for sale is a circa 1840 opaque white lamp with pressed base and free blown font. Two corners of the base have been polished and one is a minor underfill. There is a chip to the edge of the foot, a minor flake and a couple of tiny nicks to the upper part of the base edge. As you can see there are some typical annealing lines in the base that these all have. Overall, this is one of the nicer examples you will find. For the record, the collar is loose and there is a small chip underneath on the lip, probably as made.
