Antique Youngs /Mackintyre pottery Victorian Aesthetic Oil Lamp

A rare and fine anglo japanesque aesthetic movement oil lamp in the manner of Christopher Dresser. The oil reservoir is ceramic produced by Mackintyre of William Moorcroft fame. It has a duplex burner by Young & Co and sits in a tripod polished brass oriental style frame on a black enamel base.

This is a very rare and stylish piece in working order. The lamp is topped with a period glass chimney and milk glass globe shade. Condition is excellent with some very minor light scratches on the ceramic reservoir and a good historical solder repair on the base. All is in keeping with its age and use.
