Stunning Hinks & Sons oil lamp with hand painted Royal Worcester porcelain base. The Burner is a Hinks duplex burner, the winders work well and smoothly. The winder button has Hinks embossed in the brass. There is a bead pull on the safety snuffer (probably not original).
The burner is very slightly lose in the bayonet collar and you might want to tighten the lugs. The brass collar on the lamp also has Hinks Patent stamped into it, matching font and burner. The font is brass and set into a stunning hand painted Royal Worcester base of ivory blush porcelain.
On the base of the porcelain there is a number 6315 Standing on a cast brass base. Circa 1880 - 1890 Oval duplex chimney Some of gilding around the top is worn away in places and thin in others.
