Antique Victorian Oil Lamp Gilt & Marble Column Base HINKS No. 2 DUPLEX Burner

Here we have a lovely antique Victorian oil lamp dating to circa 1870 / 1890. This is a lovely example of a English Victorian antique oil lamp. The lamp is a lovely design having a marble column mounted on a pretty decorative gilt metal base raised on four feet. The oil reservoir is pretty cut glass. The burner is an'HINKS No. James Hinks & Son, 91-96 Great Hampton Street & 66 Hockley Street, Birmingham, were established before 1865 as James Hinks and made many oil lamps and similar products. James and Joseph Hinks patented the duplex burner and the extinguisher lever in 1865. CONDITION: The lamp is in lovely condition just age related marks commensurate with age and use. There is wear to the gilt finish which can be viewed in the photographs.
