Antique Victorian Oil Lamp Brass Glass & Ceramic Table Lamp Conversion. An original late Victorian oil lamp, converted into an electric corded table lamp in the later part of the 20th century. In very nice condition for its age. There are the usual minor imperfections to the glass from the nature of being handblown; air bubbles etc. Though ceramic bases are certainly not unknown and it could very well be original, it may be a 1920s or 1930s base used to replace perhaps a tarnished or damaged original base when the conversion to an electric table lamp was undertaken. Regardless the overall affect is very aesthetically pleasing. Please see photographs for details and details of condition. From a recent local clearance. Base - 11.5cm x 11.5cm. Height of Lamp with no shades - 31cm.
