Antique Victorian Large Brass Oil Lamp Cranberry Glass Shade & Chimney. Victorian large circular design oil lamp with a through wick.

Two handled wrought iron handles for ease of moving. Cranberry glass with ruffled top with plain glass chimney. The glass is kept in place by a small brass screw fitting.

This is have lightly cleaned, the bring the brass back to shine, but leaving some of the marks, imperfections and dents, showing the age of the lamp. We have added pads to the bottom of the feet, as these have been damaged and would scratch furniture and the brass on the wick turner has been damaged showing the base metal underneath. Clearly a large statement piece, having looked around I can find no other oil lamp of this design. Width (from handle to handle) : 35 cms. Diameter of base : 29 cms. Height (of lamp only) : 24 cms. Height (with chimney) : 50 cms. Diameter at base: 14 cms. Most of the items I sell are vintage and therefore not new and not perfect.
