Antique Victorian Duplex Oil Lamp Youngs Uranium Glass Font Cranberry Shade 26. Please scroll down for lots more photos. An antique Victorian duplex oil lamp with a Youngs opaque uranium glass font, and dating to around the late 19th / early 20th century. Base : Black glazed earthenware stepped circular foot supporting a reeded brass column stem with lower knop and inverted petal finial with screw fitting.

Font : Opaque uranium glass font hand decorated in encrusted gilt with floral / foliate motifs to sides & top, brass collar with twin lug bayonet fitting marked'YOUNGS'. Burner : Brass duplex burner with conforming twin lug bayonet fitting, push fit gallery for chimney, galleried shade ring, unmarked. Chimney : Glass'flat' profile chimney with lower bulb, marked'Made in Czechoslovakia'.

Approx 26" / 66cm tall maximum including chimney, on a 6 1/2" / 16.5cm diameter base. The shade and burner are almost certainly later replacements otherwise overall good antique condition with expected light marks / wear / tarnish commensurate with age & use. The burner has no wick and is untested and the shade has a small edge chip to the top (last photo).
