A very unusual rare silver plate naturalistic victorian oil lamp. Also would have been a centre piece for a Dining Table. The base is silver plate and is hallmarked, i PRESUME the whole lamp is silver plate. (but I cannot guarantee this).
Fabulous bird with red glass eyes. The two branches are a little wobbly, but completely stable. This comes with a glass acid etched flower motif dish with a cut glass oil lamp fount. It has a Hinks Duplex burner with a key riser, but i cannot see a lever for wick snuffer. The wick ceramic heads say 129 Oxford Street which will be W1 London. I can only think this would have been a silver/jewellry shop in the late 19th Century early 20th Century. This also comes with a lovely acid etched beehive lamp shade which compliments the lamp perfectly. Height to the top of the brass collar 19. Width of the glass dish 11. Width of the fount 7. Width of the base 7.5. Most of my items are antique and vintage. Henc e will not be "as new" unless stated. Be commensurate with age and use.
