Antique Oil Lamp Wood Base Seahorses Poseidon Decoration Embossed Font 10 Sq

Offered from a local NJ estate is an antique oil lamp with embossed font, button marked Made in United States of America. And Wick turn wheel marked Pat May 1895. Is 9 square box painted black with wear to paint on all sides and top I.

It has embellishments on all 4 sides: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" Embossed Seahorses emerging from waves with shells and P. Each corner is supported with a flaring pierced foot that extends to top of box so that footprint of box is 10 square.

Don't believe base is as old as lamp but great decorative lamp and wick advances as it should and font has no holes. 12 tall to top of lamp, no shade, etc. All of the items I sell are vintage, antique or collectible and will show some signs of use or wear. Please do not be expecting to receive a "new" condition item.

Even excellent condition items will not look new and will show some signs of use. I will be happy to provide more information and/or photos.
