Antique Oil Lamp Hinks No. 2 Rise & Fall Burner Drop in Font Hinks Basket
Fantastic Antique Oil Lamp Standing a stately 76.5cm tall. The base has a brass column with petal shaped collar to both top and bottom mounted upon a rosewood plinth. A brass Hinks basket screws into the base and a clear glass font drops neatly into the basket. The Font has a lugged collar which is clearly marked "Hinks & Sons Patent". The rise and fall mechanism works perfectly there is a working single stem twin wick winder fully marked for Hinks and a working snuffer lever complete with dropper weight.
A 10cm gallery supports an antique globe shaped shade beautifully acid etched with a marguerite/daisy pattern. An unbranded round bulge chimney completes the lamp.
