Antique Oil Lamp Green Moulded Uranium Vaseline Glass Font Pyramid Base

Simple and elegant Antique Oil Lamp standing 56.5cm tall. The oil lamp has a black cast iron pyramid shaped base decorated with a pattern of bamboo trellis with leaves and butterflies. This has been refinished with a matte black paint in keeping with the original finish.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Moulded cased uranium glass font. Beautifully moulded with a pattern of leafy swags and ribbons with a Greek key band above. As can be seen in my second picture, this font even in broad daylight reacts very strongly to black light. The lamp is fitted with a good quality "British Made" single wick burner clearly marked to the working wick winder and retains some wick. An unbranded round bulge chimney completes the lamp.
