Antique Oil Lamp Acid Green/Yellow Cased Glass Font Duplex Burner
Fantastic Antique Oil Lamp standing an impressive 77cm tall overall. The lamp has an unusual brass base with three lion paw feet, beaded band and ball Knopf with screw fit top. The font is of a citron moulded cased glass that graduates in colour from a lime green at the top to a pale acid yellow at the base. The font is large and of a waisted form and is heavily embossed with a leafy floral pattern. The good quality duplex burner screws into the font and has working wick winders marked with a sun emblem an the words "British Make", a snuffer lever, unbranded flat bulge chimney, new wicks and a good quality gallery.
The globe shaped, antique opaque glass shade, has an ornate pattern of butterflies amongst flowers and leaves, with a Grecian type frieze both top and bottom. As can be seen in my pictures, the font has a small crack emanating from the collar and the shade has a small chip to the top rim.
