Antique Hinks Hanging Brass & Glass Oil Lamp with Duplex Burner

Antique Hinks Hanging Oil Lamp. This attractive antique oil lamp was made by Hinks and is marked with the maker's mark both at the end of the wick adjustment and at the top of the burner. It has the registration number 65891 stamped into the brasswork of the burner, dating it to around 1917.

The oil lamp retains its original glass reservoir and ornate brass hanging basket. Condition: Overall in fair-good condition.

There is some tarnishing and wear as might be expected, and some denting and misshaping in places. The glass funnel is missing. The glass reservoir is grubby, but has no cracking. The brass hanging basket does have some damage. The arms are bent, and the rail around the main body has one area of loss and some splitting.
