A fabulous, original, Hinks & Sons standard oil lamp in the manner of WAS Benson. As can be seen in the photos, the lamp is brass with copper leaves. It is in beautiful condition and has been cleaned thoroughly.
It stands just over 5ft tall and, when fully raised, it is nearly 8ft tall. It has a Hinks no. 2 burner which is in excellent condition.
The copper font is in great condition with no dents to the top. The main pole support is very unusual as it has a raised spiral decoration which I have not seen before. The burner has a bayonet fitting and I have a bayonet attachment in order to fit an electric light without damaging or modifying the lamp. A truly stunning and rare item. Please do not arrange courier collection unless you are willing to provide suitable packaging. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
