Antique brass large ornate empire ormolu oil lamp Hinks, cobalt blue fount

A beautiful antique oil lamp, stunning brass quality oil lamp. Cobalt blue drop in glass fount with ribbed design and a Bayonet collar with Hinks and Sons stamped. Base of the fount is a smooth round section which sits in the little brass tray inside the basket, and has scratches commensurate with age, design and use. The lamp is 20" to the top of the collar , the base width 9". Base is on Tripod legs with hoof feet. There is huge attention to detail of the Grecian Classical form. With a meander decorative border constructed from a continuous line around the rim of the brass basket. There is also a lovely detail of a swag of curtain with fringes on middle rim of the stand shown in photo. Width of the basket outer edge 18.5cm. Some cork residue inside the brass collar. Most of my items are antique and vintage. Henc e will not be "as new" unless stated. Be commensurate with age and use.
