This is a very high quality antique 19th century ornate Victorian gilt bronze and blown slag glass oil lamp. The piece is done with an abundance of very intricate detailing and is a heavy lamp. There bronze is extremely ornate and has a lovely gold gilded finish. The white slag glass is hand blown and very thick.
It is a bit hard to tell from the photos but the glass also has nice paneling detail. The brass burner has two adjustable wicks and holds a very detailed etched frosted glass shade. It has several scenes with cherubs and birds which are extremely complex. The burner also holds a clear flute shade in the center. Measures 28 inches tall by 7 1/4 inches wide. It's a very high quality lamp and in nice working condition. The frosted shade has a small nick at the top and the base has a drill hole on the back corner. The base was once used for a electric lamp. Refer to last photo, both are not very noticeable. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. Please make sure to look at all pictures very closely before purchasing, as most pieces in my shop are non refundable.
