Youngs Art Nouveau Duplex Oil Lamp with Beautiful Cranberry Etched Shade

Youngs Art Nouveau Duplex Oil Lamp with Beautiful Cranberry Etched Shade. This lamp has a wonderfully etched shade, the outlines of which are either deep etched or even engraved with four floral panels. The Youngs duplex burner is marked "YOUNGS SCREW No2" on the wick winders and marked "YOUNGS DUPLEX" on the bridge of the cone. The cranberry font is fluted internally. The reeded column sits on top of a lightly hammered brass base sitting on a ceramic plinth. Come with an unbranded chimney. I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Condition: There are two small cracks to the top of the cranberry font emanating from the collar and there is a very small dent in the brass base. The shade has some tiny nibbles to the fitter and the tiniest of flea bites on the top rim that do not even show but is otherwise free of chips and cracks. The glass work has typical manufacturing irregularities including bubbles and impurities.

The brass work is polished but stubborn marks remain in the nooks and crannies. The burner is in good working order with smooth working wick winders and extinguisher. The chimney has a chip to the fitter that will not be seen in use. Please see photos including extra ones in the listing. Size: Total weight to top of chimney 29cm, total weight 3.5kg.
